Going to an orthodontist to undergo an orthodontic treatment, such as Invisalign, guarantees much more attention and care versus receiving aligners via mail. Problems with your mail-order aligners may occur that wouldn’t with one of our doctors under normal circumstances. With this service, you won’t be provided with the attention and care that one of our orthodontists would give you if you were receiving treatment from our team at Blooming Smiles. Additionally, your oral health status will, not only go un-checked, but should there be an error in your aligners, you could end up misaligning your teeth or damaging your gum line or the shape of your bite. The best course of action is to elect to have Invisalign (or traditional braces if you’re not eligible for clear aligners) under the watchful eye and care of a professional orthodontist.
Should you choose to move forward with a treatment from a mail-order aligner company, be careful! You may risk spending more on orthodontic treatments than you had anticipated. At Blooming Smiles, we get our orthodontic treatments done correctly the first time—this is not something that can be guaranteed by mail-order aligner companies. If the aligners aren’t fully optimized or molded carefully for your unique smile, you may have to go to an orthodontist in the future anyway to get your smile fixed.
