Pediatric Dentistry

Maintaining your child’s dental health is an essential step in their development. At Blooming Smiles, our team is dedicated to providing our patients with the absolute best care. Every child is unique and we understand that no two are alike, therefore, we provide special care for every child that comes into our office.

Our office is designed to look and feel as non-threatening and safe as possible. We try and keep our dental equipment and instruments out of sight. To keep our patients entertained, we have TVs with a selection of parent-approved channels for your child to watch while we take care of their dental needs.

We use a lot of positive reinforcement and child friendly descriptions to help your child feel at ease during the dental procedure. We make recommendations depending on the child’s age, ability to cooperate, and amount of treatment needed. The treatments provided take the dental needs and behavioral aspects into consideration.

Our pediatric dentists are qualified and licensed to provide treatments using nitrous oxide and also oral conscious sedation for children that need a little help in getting relaxed for the dental procedure.

We also offer dental treatment under general anesthesia (Sleep dentistry). This service is provided in our office by a qualified anesthesiologist.

At our practice, our team is highly experienced in pediatric dentistry. We specialize in a wide range of pediatric dentistry, including:

Our team provides the latest and most advanced dental technologies, which allows us to provide the best care possible. We take pride in providing state-of-the-art tools, equipment, and techniques to ensure your child receives effective and gentle care in a comfortable setting.

First Dental Visit

Initial dental exams are extremely important for children, as they help establish a dental home for your child, as well as condition them to develop a positive association with visiting the dentist. Our team is committed to ensuring that your child receives the care that they need to start their oral health journey.

Infant Oral Health

Early dentistry is extremely important to your child’s oral health. Our team is highly experienced in infant oral health, as we know firsthand how detrimental it is to their health as they grow and develop even before their teeth appear.

Tooth Extraction

A tooth extraction is the removal of the tooth, which may be caused by certain conditions. Tooth extractions can help your child’s smile to function properly and be in good health. We try to avoid the need to remove the tooth if possible, but do so when necessary. Our team provides a comfortable setting for your child and we use the latest technology to ensure a smooth and efficient process so your child feels at ease.

Fluoride Treatment

Fluoride treatments help to strengthen teeth and protect them from tooth decay. Fluoride treatments may be done at home or in-office.

Pulpotomy

A pulpotomy treatment is done to help preserve teeth that have been severely damaged due to tooth decay. This form of therapy is done to isolate and treat the infection or damage that is found inside of the innermost layer of the tooth.

Sedation Treatment

Our office provides sedation to ensure that your child has a comfortable, safe, and efficient dental visit. We understand that many children may feel nervous during their visit, therefore, sedation treatment may be beneficial during their visit to help them feel at ease.

Sports Mouth Guards

Sports mouth guards are extremely important when your child becomes active in sports and physical activity because it helps to prevent accidents and damage. Sports mouth guards are especially important for children who play high-contact sports, such as football, wrestling, hockey, soccer, basketball, baseball, and more.
